Today was installation day at gallery TG 27 at the Festival of Quilts at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. There is something very satisfying about transforming a blank gallery from this:

While my curatorial assistant (aka my husband The Laundry King) was away checking into our accommodation with a nasty head cold, I did have help with installation. My job was to prepare the layout and get the works ready for the installation team. Three walls = three piles:

There’s some signage to be added; the floor needs a vacuum; and the lighting will be tweaked but this gives you a fair idea of the presentation:
