just a moment with Annie White

She may currently live in New Zealand but spend just a moment with Annie White where she shares her strong ties to Australia. Songlines is dedicated to the teachers and communities of the Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy and expresses Annie’s songline:

Time, in Aboriginal society… is not viewed in isolation but has an interconnectedness with the past and with the future… Songlines are used to explain these connections. My songline dreams of the day all Australians are connected harmoniously, and when the elder’s ancient songs are embraced, treasured and passed on, to a tolerant, united Australia – it’s just a Matter of Time.

just a moment is a series of daily blog posts from 29 January to 29 February 2016 that will feature an artist and preview their artwork from a matter of time. The exhibition will premiere at the Stitches & Craft Show, Sydney: 3-6 March 2016 and continue on tour in 2016/2017. All welcome!
