just a moment with Sue de Vanny

Sue de Vanny from Melbourne, Victoria has travelled to Prague and is fascinated by the Orloj astronomical clock built in 1410:

The Orloj clock  is one of the oldest astronomical clocks in the world. Through centuries the clock has been refurbished and even partly rebuilt due to damage in World War Two. The dials show important astronomical events, the movement of the sun, the way the sun orbits around the earth (not the opposite way around), phases of the moon, the equinoxes, seasons, days and the zodiac.

  1. It’s just fantastic. I love the way Sue envisions the overall picture then jigsaw puzzles it all to make the image. I just wish I was coming to see it in the flesh!! 🙁
